Description of Services:
Provides food, clothing and temporary shelter (average of 850 bed uses monthly) to indigent locals and transients by serving two hot meals daily at noon and 6pm (the mission serves over 1,700 hot meals each month), operating the local food bank (the mission provides groceries to 120 households each week), offering two Thrift Stores for low cost shopping or vouchers for free clothing (the mission Gives out over 5,000 articles of clothing, coats, and household items each month). Other services include providing limited prescription assistance (antibiotics) and travel-aid vouchers. Faith-based counseling (crisis intervention, marital, addiction rehabilitation, grief, spiritual) is also available by appointment. Substance abuse recovery program: H.O.P.E. House (Healing, Open, Personalized Environment) is a 9 month holistic (MIND/BODY/SOUL) therapeutic program in collaboration with S.H.S.U. Counseling Dept. The program is limited to 12 participants. Must be able to go upstairs, no sex offenders. Not a medical or mental health facility.
